Talking I just have to tell this to someone...

Just now we finally handled the amber stage!!! WOHOO!
I never considered our cat too smart, I would say she is a little wacky, extremely beautiful, averagely intelligent cat. And she did so well today.
The red stage was a piece of cake for her, she didn't hesitate once and learned it in no time. Even though we changed her usual sand for some flushable sawdust granules to avoid plumbing problems.
But with the amber stage, she refused to do number 2 in the hole or anywhere near it. Once she went to her favourite chair in desperation and after that she held it for 4 days straight to not do it again. I tried moving her to the bathroom for the time when we're gone for work, but she just kept holding it, until I gave her her red stage back. I even tried to feed her lots of her favourite tuna, I massaged her belly, but she just held it in like a hero... Finally she got her red disc under the amber disc and used it immediately. It went like that for a week or so, each time she needed to do number 2, she asked politely for her red disc and used the amber disc for peeing.
Yesterday I thought it was time for poo, so I put the red disc under amber, but she needed to pee and was very unhappy to pee into the empty center of the red disc - did a lot of meouwing about it and a lot of digging afterwards. Today I tried not giving her the red disc, using the bad memory she had of peeing into it.
And voila! She walked around a lot, complaining and demanding help, she tried to make a solid center of the amber disc by filling the toilette with all the sawdust she could scrape out of the amber disc, then she obviously considered using her chair again, but when I went to the chair with her and petted her to make sure she doesn't do it, she changed her mind and hastily ran to the toilette, where she managed perfectly!
I'm extremely proud of her now and I hope we'll be able to keep the momentum.
I just wanted to share this with someone. And I doubt anyone here in Sweden cares that my cat did her number two in my toilette around midnight!

Thumbs up A small step for a cat...

And we're off the amber disc!!! We're in the green now and our kitty seems to be handling it quite well. She complains a lot still when it's time to poop, but she's a bengal after all, they do talk a lot all the time.
