    Hi everyone,

It is important to clean up properly after the cat goes on the floor. I know I keep saying "use enzymatic cleaner, use enzymatic cleaner" but I myself had to clean up poop off the floor a few times a week till I started using it. Now the cats use the LK on their own, sometimes I'll make it to the bathroom after they've already gone (So it's not like I monitor them 100% anymore).

Also, when I know I'll be out at a time when they need to poop, I'll put overturned containers and baskets all over the bathroom so they have no other place to squat. A rarely do this now, only if I'll be out of the house of 10 or so hours.

My cats (I have 3) were already accustomed to going ON top of the toilet before I got the litter kwitter. They were fine with that. I made the transition to the LK and they were initially fine. Now, one of my cats is pooping on the floor. So I don't think the issue is moving too fast. I'm at a loss.

HeyStarLite, what stage are you on?

My cats were using a homemade setup before I got the LK (they were down to a very small ledge) but I bought the LK anyway as it made going back and forth easier. When I started them on the red stage, they had accidents on the floor. Since they were used to a very clean setup, the red stage annoyed them as I couldn't keep it clean enough for them. Instead of spending 2 weeks going crazy changing the litter in the red disc twice a day, I moved them to the amber and they are perfectly fine. We've crossed two weeks without any accidents (they even use it on their own at night to poop) but am waiting one more week so I have time to monitor the shift to the green. Maybe that's your problem too?

Sometimes cats will wait till you go out to poop on the floor. Try and make this impossible by putting containers all over the bathroom (annoying but useful). I used to do this at nights, and sometimes till do it when I feel both of them have to do #2 and I won't be around the clean up after the first one.

Ok guys, I have a solution for you, which definitely would work but you need to have time and patience. I have had the same problems and sometimes even thought that my cat is probably the dumbest cat in the world but it is not so true.
    Ok,
1 ) From the beginning leave the LK for at least 2 weeks on the floor beside the toilet and very important! make sure that it is not close to any wall or obstacle.
Yes, I know, but cats do not think like us!
Do it, If you don’t want your cat to defecate on the floor.
    2) For the beginning, when you mount the LK on the bowl, place a step about 15 cm or 12 Inch in front of the toilet.
Here again, I would like to remind you that cats do not think like human.
Cats are curios creatures and they would step on the little step and then see the LK and jump on it.
From their angle of view they simply do not see the LK from the floor!
Let the cat use the red disk for at least 3 weeks and always keep the tray clean!
